school year at CCMS!!!
As you may already know, I am Mr. Micah Hanford, the Assistant Principal at the Middle School. I hope you all had an eventful, yet restful summer. I know you are looking forward to the start of the school year as much as I am, and with that being said, I am going to give you a few words of wisdom to start the year off on the right foot.
1) Be On Time Daily
This is step one to becoming successful. You need to be here daily in order to become the successful student that you and your parents want. Without good attendance, the remaining words or wisdom would not be possible. Be on time, daily, ready to work.
2) Do All Of Your Work
In order to achieve the grades that you want you must complete all of your assigned work. And, at times, the work may get difficult but this is when you need to seek that extra help from your teachers. Make sure you take advantage of all of the resources we provide, because that is what they are there for…. Your success!!!
3) Follow The Code Of Conduct
A sure shot way to be successful is to stay out of trouble. Please review the code of conduct so you know the “do’s and don’ts” of the Middle School. Keep them fresh in your mind and always think before you speak, and act.
4) Surround Yourself With Good People
A sure shot way to keep yourself out of harms way is to only spend time with those friends that make good decisions. This will ensure that you will not only keep yourself out of trouble, but at the same time you will always be seen in a good light. Other people’s positive perception of you will go a long way!!!
5) Get Involved
Those student’s that participate in a club or activity always fair better academically and socially than those that do not. Be a part of something here at CCMS and form a positive connection to the school as well as those that are participating along side of you.
6) Stay Positive
A positive attitude can carry you a long way. Make sure to keep the positive thoughts in, and the negative thoughts out! The better you feel about yourself will result in a happier and more successful you. That is what we strive for here at CCMS.
If you follow these “words of wisdom” you will drastically increase your chances of starting the year off on a positive note, but more importantly, maintaining this throughout the school year. Let’s have a great start of the school year together!!!
